Chef’s kiss is a gesture and expression meant to show something is perfect or excellent.
The chef’s kiss comes from the Italian gesture al bacio, literally “kiss” but with the sense of “excellent.” The image of a male Italian chef performing this gesture—often with a mustache, white chef’s hat, and apron—spread in US advertisements after the world war.

We are Lakshmi and Teja, co-founders of Chef’s Kiss.Our journey started when both us (Lakshmi, an economist and Teja, a scientist) were trying to source ingredients to make some really delicious dishes from across the world.After we connected as friends in the search, the rest is history.
